were dumb). And not really cheap.
I made my own bait using boric acid. A couple dollar for the power, used
about 1/5, made a gallon bait (a lot of sugar). Use generously. Just don't
contaminate food and keep out reach of child (mostly sugar). |

虽然不会吃木头，但是他们会把木头什么的碎屑运出来，在里面作窝，所以还是要除
掉。
检查的时候在crawl space里发现一个蚂蚁窝，很恶心。
现在正在喷农药，家里有三岁小孩，希望不要有什么特别大的危害。

家里有黑蚂蚁，特别是车库里，下雨天一群一群的。
最近发现餐厅门框下面总是有一小堆木屑一样的东西，擦掉了过几天又有了。
车库里的蚂蚁窝边也有很多碎屑。
现在比较担心会不会是白蚁？但是目前还没有看到过比较大个的蚂蚁
请问有经验的高手，普通的小黑蚂蚁会不会吃木头或者他们有习惯在家门口堆东西的
习惯？

部，长相很丑。Carpenter Ants 也不是好东西，它们不如白蚁毁坏性大，它们不吃木
头，但是他们会把木头钻好多窟窿。

是carpenter。然后在外墙发现了一个mound，喷了点药就走了。说没什么大不了的，也
不需要什么treatment。照片中所示的那些粉末说是可能是蚂蚁带上来的dirt，vacuum
掉就行了。说是白蚁的话，留下的grain会颗粒大一些，而且颜色稍浅一点。
下午还约了一个公司过来检查一下，但应该不会是白蚁了。好险。 |

. 买来后，上网一查，半数用户都说蚂蚁不喜欢这个诱饵，常绕过它不理睬。
我把 Hotshot Bait 放在我已经知道的蚂蚁路径上，果然有蚂蚁进家里觅食了，和网上
说的一样，它们一律对这个诱饵无视，就当诱饵不存在，好几次都已经在诱饵边上爬，
连头都不偏一下。这样折腾了一天，我至少看到十几个蚂蚁过往，经过诱饵，没有一只
考虑去碰诱饵。
我想这个诱饵本身大概肯定应该是有毒药的，只是设计得对蚂蚁太没有吸引力，才导致
降价和网上恶评，于是我急中生智，用一个一次性小塑料碗，把诱饵放在里面，然后捉
了两只蚂蚁进去，蒙上保鲜膜。诱饵已经占了 90% 的碗底面积，但是蚂蚁死活就是不
想进诱饵的四个小孔，死活不原意，多么失败的杀蚁诱饵啊 ！！ 最后，我用力摇晃
塑料碗，两个蚂蚁被晃得东倒西歪，有的时候被晃进诱饵小孔，然后又从另一个小孔出
来。我想也好，就强迫你们沾上毒药吧。看到每只蚂蚁都进出诱饵多次后，我就把它们
都放了，让它们回窝。

1) buy a parabolic mirror
2) under sun, use the parabolic mirror to concentrate the sunlight.
3) ants will die if you shoot the concentrated sunlight into its nest.
enjoy it.
I have killed hundreds of them this morning.
it is efficient. and most importantly, it is green.
Moreover, kids love to play with it.
You watch them while you kill them.
be cautious: when you try this method, wear your sun-proof glass.

, especially on black ants that eat sweet foods, bread, meat, etc. Usually
it takes them ~2 days to carry the bait back to their nest so that they can
share the bait, after that you will not be bothered by ants for at least 1-2
months. I do not think it is a problem for kids. |
