我前房主用的是一家叫做Radon Diagnostic Services Inc.的公司，在Andover。房子
地下室比较大，大概花费是1200。到目前为止没有什么问题。风扇安装在一个closet上

感觉是４０万应该是ｅａｓｙ, ８０万是死撑. ６０万 说撑 也不太撑，但说不撑
，也不ｅａｓｙ, deal breaker是看对那房子喜欢到什么地步; 60w而且还想让自己喜
欢到能愿意忍受一点撑，这种房子不可能在中高端价位的town(lexington, winchester
, newton, etc); Acton, Andover, Reading可能会有. 不过上个月去在Wilmington看
到一个我喜欢的房子，６５万，ＬＤ嫌太撑，拒绝考虑了，但那种ｃｏｎｄｉｔｉｏｎ
好的房子在好学区Reading Acton又不可能是65万. 左右为难，那就退求便宜ｃｏｎｄ
ｏ吧
Winchester那个townhouse, 我估计是以前标价太高，而且ＨＯＡ每月４６０，可能是
HOA fee吓跑了很多自住买主和投资房买主
管它是不是toxic,只要足够便宜，就好卖，刚需. 我们还曾经考虑过10几万的小
apartment, somehow 没赶上deal |

私立大学本科给外国人的奖学金有没有？有。
多不多？不多，但也不那么稀罕。基本上前十几二十的私立national universities和
liberal arts colleges都有。极端的如princeton对国际学生都可以做到need based
financial aid。
为什么我不知道有拿到这样的奖学金的中国人？因为他们的生活可能跟你没有交集 1.
大部分都给了数得过来几个中学，集中在沪宁杭京等大城市；2这些人大部分在NYC附近
工作。退一步说，哈佛女生知道吧？就是沾了信息不发达城市的光出了本畅销书。早她
多少年就有成批的中学生拿奖来念书了。
高中有没有奖学金？私立高中也有。早的如八十年代的时候Phillips Academy Andover
就有没有什么特别背景的大陆学生。
要想申请奖学金，就必须往最好的私立学校去。特例也有，比方说UCB也给过，不过那
基本属于零概率事件。 |

(Andover and Exeter), Milton, Groton, Deerfield, Roxbury latin, ST paul etc
. 我儿子曾经考入Milton, 但最后，权衡了一下，觉得还是不入我们这最好的公立，最
后没去。我们的dream school 是Philips的两所学校。
