我第一个贴就说了clinical reference lab在用. 但即使在这些实验室, NGS test
menu有非常有限.
目前可以说绝大部分的medical center的molecular pathology division没有用NGS的
测序来发anatomic pathology report. 为什么要送到reference lab去? 因为即使top
medical center的标本量还是不够, in house做的话不合算.
我原贴的意思是在于讨论. 我知道NGS给很多生物千老, 生物统计的, 还有IT的带来了
就业, 所以说NGS是噱头这些人会来攻击.
NGS跟sanger的主要或者唯一区别就是速度快, 在临床目前或者说可以预见的将来很长
一段时间内并不需要whole genome analysis的情况下, 分析几个基因, 用NGS并不比
sanger有多少优越性.
当然对于生物千老来说, 用NGS可以发几篇paper, 然后可以自己沉浸在其中masterbate

考板的战友们一点借鉴。
OB并不如有些朋友想象的那么容易找。现在越来越多的教学医院不再接受OB的申请，
private practice则更没有动力来让人来shadow。如果打算走正规渠道的，建议及早申
请，不要等到CK/CS考完、申请即将开始之前才行动。至于非正规渠道，则是八仙过海
，各显神通，但也要及早积累关系。与我经历而言，四处碰壁之后，终于在一个
community hospital ED、一个free clinic、和一个university hospital ED做了三个
