比赛奖金之高为历史之罕见，总共200万欧元，胜方60%负方40%，全仗托帕洛夫为保加利亚全国的偶像。相比之下，虽然阿南德在印度知名度极高，却未能吸引大赞助商，据说除了板球其他任何运动在印度都没有钱途。

February 16th to 28th in the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The Match consists of eight games and if necessary tie-breaks.
Topalov has 4.5:2.5 points and is the winner of the eight-game match. He
qualifies for a World Championship Match against Viswanathan Anand,
scheduled for later this year. |
