11.5m/h is not bad at all. I recall averaged 13.5m/h on that day in 2006. I
had ample prep rides previously such as Sierra Century 200k, and Climb to
Kaiser.
did you pick up 50m/h on Carlson Pass on the way down? There's a straight
section where you can pick up some crazy speed. I thought that was the
coolest part on that ride.

rock campground when thunder storm and hail started. the scene looked just
like that first photo wolf posted.
my buddy bill thought i was nuts riding in thunder. he pulled into a store
about 2 miles to the campground and i just pressed on in the storm. it was
quite some experience.

Then it was windy driving aspen leaves moving in all directions. For a
couple of seconds I imagined the path led to the other world and asserted
the proper naming of the ride :)

If the race goes all the way to the top, the last 4.5 miles will feature
18 switchbacks and an average gradient of 10 percent. Organizers think
this road won't be as vulnerable to the fall/winter elements as the way to
Big Bear. Looks as if the race finally has itself a difference-maker.
Amateurs will be able to ride the route several weeks before in an event
similar to "L'Etape du Tour," a Tour de France tradition.

发帖数: 1992 | 20 话说这秃头山, Mt Baldy，一直被被称为南加州最困难的climb，其长度和坡度都比
Alpe d'Huez有过之而无不及，又是今年Tour of California的Queen Stage. 受到老狼
的秃头山骑行报告系列的鼓舞，我一直向往的紧。
最近终于有机会开车去南加，于是事先联系了老狼。周六早上我在I-5开车的时候就有
点打鼓，因为 10点多气温已经是 80多度了 。这时我便知道下午的骑行必然困难
重重。
下午2点半我到达约定集合地点。老狼早已到了。收拾停当，我还傻呵呵问了一句要带
arm warmer么，事后才知道这是多么可笑。最后是2:45pm出发，温度是93度。
一开始是一段相对比较平坦的路，但是我估计也有4-5%的坡度。我一开始就用小盘骑。
老狼用大盘在前面。老狼越骑越快，我可不敢强跟。距离拉开了有100米。我本着能上
去就是胜利的原则，远远的吊着。很快就到了一个大坡。一开始我还期望用34x28骑，
结果发觉很容易就out of breath了。这可是头一两mile啊，以前从来没发生过的事情

jersey. long sleeve thermo jersey没打折太贵了
都是50%off, 好像那个promotion到10/15为止.
那个2.0系列在gore自家的网站上也是刚update, realcyclist上图片都还没加上去,但
是直接就有打折满奇怪的. 我本来想买的是旧款,但是价格一样还断码多.
我后来多研究了一下面料觉得其实Windstopper也足够了, 也有蛮好的防水功能.
goretex防水更强,但是透气性要弱一点. 估计只要不在暴雨天骑, windstopper也足够了 |

群里成为了一名卧底。
三番的小伙伴分外热情，何老大更是写出了动人的风情一日游路线，这里不再赘述。路
线摘要大致是：上，下，上，下，上，下... 看得我十分害怕。最后拍叔体贴我之前日
夜兼程连续接力跑步的辛苦，拍板定下了最后的路线，cut掉了一点milage，chop掉了
一点elevation，以免我在半山腰喊uber。
终于到了周日，一早见了旧日纽约的小伙伴，就奔去车店。这次租的自行车果然高端洋
气上档次，低调奢华有内涵，空转的时候链条哗啦哗啦的响，引人侧目。车店小二问我
打哪儿来上哪儿去，我把strava路线给他看，他嘿嘿嘿嘿咧嘴笑了很久。然后说，It
will be as flat as New York City. 然后帮我fit了车，祝我骑行愉快。末了，他说
，12/32的盘，you'll be very happy with this today.

Permit" 的东东，也可视为临时FlD，因为每年都要年检，一百大洋一年，而且第一年
无论什么月份拿到，有效期都是当年十二月三十一日。其申请受理部门是公共安全局。
麻州的公民可以申请FlD，LTC B 和 LTC A，分别可持有长枪，小容量弹夹手枪和长枪
，大容量弹夹手枪和长枪。FlD属于SHALL lSSUE，而LTC是MAY lSSUE的。受理部门是所
住地的警局，一般最后到手的LTC都会有条件限制，市民能拿到手限制最少的是＂ALP＂
All Lawful Purpose 的LTC A。
今年3月30日，一桩打了一年的官司有了结果，联邦法庭判麻州枪法针对绿卡族的歧视
性条款违宪。而州府也没有上诉，因而从4月30日起，在麻州公共安全局原来受理＂
Resident Alien Firearm Permit" 的网页上出了通告，绿卡持有人也可申请LTC，到居
住地警局申请了。

要给gun permit licensing officer 打个电话，看需要些什么文件。
现在既然绿卡族可以申请LTC了，那就不要再局限于FID，还是一步到位，申请LTC-A
ALP吧。
一般来说安全课一定要上，拿到Certificate。麻州猎照没用， 但Gun Club 的
membership 有用。还有就是reference letter 和申请信了。 |

是个警察，part time做FFL赚钱。优点是便宜，人很nice, 有耐心。缺点是他非常忙，
