(Sorry, AROD, this piece was started yesterday so... Rays tomorrow!)
Orioles is one of the handful teams in this board that have diehard fans.
Years earlier, when I was still a basketball fan and found baseball
extremely boring, I could not comprehend anything Alomar talked about here.
Well, today, Alomar is no longer Alomar. Hopefully he is still a (miserable)
Orioles fan... :-)

开始觉得2分钟的时间足够了，但开draft的时候才发现是1分30秒。
前两轮能同时选到Chipper Jones和Roberto Alomar，多少有些意外。他们两个
在各自的位置上无疑是extraordinary的。并且基本上没有和他们同一level的
球员。
第三轮按计划要选一个starter，本来是打算选Matt Morris的，可惜被alomar
抢了先，只好换成Javier Vazquez。
第四轮时考虑了一下，Jimmy Rollins属于非常难得的资源：5-tool SS。这时候
SS最好的三个都已经被选掉了，剩下的Aurilia不属于我喜欢的球员，因此选了
Rollins。
第五到第七轮基本上都属于那一级别球员所仅剩下的，我对这三个比较满意。
第八轮本打算pick Hideo Nomo，但被抢先后有点乱了方寸，其实本来可以选一个
closer的，Izzy或者Smoltz。
第九轮的Mike Sweeney我觉得是个steal。尽管好的1B很多，但Sweeney有.310-35
-110，以及100个run和10个SB，也就是说，at least 4-to |

发帖数: 985 | 6 偶的战略是hitter优先，外野大棒优先，全面发展优先。
hitter和pitcher比起来，比赛多，consistancy好，也不容易受伤。
内野(不算一垒)除了Arod,chipper,alomar以外，
其他象jeter,nomar,IRod,piazza,
放到外野不过就是二流水准，
外野手能上4个(包括Utility),位置足够，
所以与其选这些大名鼎鼎的infielder,不如挑些数字高的一流外野。
既然定了hitter优先的原则，第一轮ARod就是no-brainer.
后面的都是两个picks连在一起，所以第一个我总是拖到最后几秒才挑，
可以多些时间考虑，结果这个做法造成了惨重损失。
第二轮到了下半段偶本来很高兴，剩下的牛人很多，
结果没想到rivera,alomar,bagwell,abreu连续被挑走，
fire又是毫不犹豫选了hudson,弄的偶时间很紧张。
二，三轮两个pick一个订了shawn green,还有一个正在考虑，
结果时间到了，yahoo直接把偶queue上的最后一名ryan klesko塞给我。
klesko虽然是一垒少有的五毒俱全型，但名气不大 |

career .301/.372/.444 as a 2B will guarantee it.
Craig Biggio and Larry Walker both borderline HOF.
Well, as he mentioned those names, I'll do some analysis here. It's pretty
sure Bonds, Henderson, Gwynn, McGuire, Cal Ripken will all be first-ballot
HOF.
For this matter, Piazza, Pudge, Junior, Sosa, Thomas, Alomar will all get into
HOF without much problem.

睡了一觉醒来, 天已经转暗, 不好, 球赛已经开始了.
赶紧打开电视, 今儿orioles对的是white sox. 上一
场orioles赢了明尼苏打, 这场他们要争取本赛季第一次
back-to-back win.
定睛一看, 俺就傻了. white sox 已经 3:0 领先了
还好是第一局, 俺想, 慢慢能赶上的, 但是orioles还是
跟前几场一样, first pitch swing, pop up, 好不容易
上了垒, 也因为三人出局还一直没得分, white sox 则又
得了一分. 数次俺都要狠狠心关电视, 上BBS来逛了.
就在俺手指头在遥控器上犹豫不决的时候, 赛季初orioles
从KC royal搞来的一垒手Connie第四局开局打出了个solo
homerun. 4 : 1.

出去值不值就看能不能签到这样的主。Dodges
签Brown的钱用来签Pedro, Dodges今年恐怕就
playoff了吧。而且还能剩下一笔备不住降低点
票价造福一下洛杉矶人民什么的。 Orioles当年
签Timlin的钱用来签Detroit的Todd Jones,
今年少blow二十多次save, Orioles也playoff了。

大红大绿的衣服，每次看到都笑的合不拢嘴。今天也不
知道怎么回事儿，把那些花衣服一件一件拿给他看，他
都不喜欢(没表情)。最后经过Mariners的专柜边上，
他开始"ho-ho"的跟妈妈又说又笑，然后就眼巴巴的盯
着那些有Mariners的衣服。我拿哪儿件给他，他就喜欢
哪件，看哪件都高兴，象是跟妈妈说“随便哪件都行”。
可惜只有一件是3-6个月的，其它的都太大。这件其实
也不好看，是纯白的，胸口正中有一个Mariners的星星。
谁让就这一件他穿的合适呢！妈妈赶紧把它买下来，回
家就给他换上。他穿上新衣对着镜子嘻嘻笑个不停。
可笑吧？真是“Like father like son".

for pena, maybe he's good prospect but like alomar said, tigers

The spitting incidence probably turned off a few voters. I am wondering if h
is playing during the steroids era also played a role. Some voters claimed a
couple of years ago that they would vote for no one who played during that
