my source is treasury TARP daily summary report. as of 7/25/2012. AIFP (Auto
Industry FInancing Program) : 79.69B spent, 40.63B Total Cash back.

the 27B loss is on GM alone, you forgot the 1B loss on Chrysler, 10B loss on
GMAC (the financing branch of GM, without which GM could not sell cars)
if you look at the reports carefully, the Banks paid 15B alone in dividends

发帖数: 3656 | 2 first GM alone is a loss of 27B. By now, this is probably a bigger loss than
all other parts of TARP. The total Auto Bail out program is at a loss of
40B. The rest of the TARP program probably is already flat if not running a

You argument of unemployment benefits is also invalid.
#1 Bankruptcy is not a tear down, it could be a rebirth. A lot of
corporation went through chap 11 and re-emerged.
