入ACCESS数据库 。
问题是调查有几页，一页一个FORM， 第一页是DEMOGRAPHIC
INFORMATION。
PRONTPAGE是每一个FORM连一个数据库或TABLE。
我怎样能够把每一页的结果都和第一页的DEMOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
LINK起来呢？
比如知道第四页的结果是由哪个人填的？
需要一点PROGRAMMING吗？

我的Access里有中文，每次上传到remote的英文serve上，中文就会全变成乱码。而用ASP
直接在网页里输入中文，却没有事。但从server上下载这个mdb文件后，打开发现的又是
乱码。
请问，你们有没有此类问题，是怎样解决的？

I wrote several servlet that works fine if I connect through
within the university IP range which is 255.255.*
however, I can't access it from other places...
I had zonealarm installed, but it is still not accessible even
I shut the zonealarm down temporarily.
Could this be due to TOMCAT configuration? or could it be due to
zonealarm ...(my computer is unvisible on internetzone once

to access Oracle, since then the web server and the DBMS server need to run
on the same host. It's a situtation that I like to avoid.
Answer I get:
Regarding the applet access issue, restriction that an applet can only open
TCP connections to the server it came from. You can get around the problem
by using a servlet on the Web server side that acts as a proxy between the
applet and the Oracle |

Well, Access provides synchronization mechanism for sure. It is
comtemporary development, not the development in the good old days
where only 1 thread can be run at any time for a CPU. Tables in
access is locked by Table. That is, if one thread is writing to a
table, other threads will be locked out, unless the programmer
forces the committment. |

my asp file will store the data into an Access table.
This program ran well, but yesterday after I deleted some
records which were entered by myself for testing, the
program can't run well. The error information is "The
file is in use." Actually, I just opened the database
and did nothing on it. O.K., I closed the database, then
another error information of "read-only data" appears.

to use the latest backup Access files, if your current
data file is in a mess.
2. I don't understand your points clearly. Are they
datus stored by ASP that be shared with two tables?
3. I think it's a good design of database to store datus
in one table, and transfer them in other tables by
relationships. Maybe your problem lies on the relationships.

Setup a new SQL data souce (from the "system" tab)
You'll have to know the server ip/name and ur username/password.
Then it'll be accessible to all programs with ODBC connectivity.
Say you want to look at the table in Access:
You can open a file, under "Tables"
Create new linked table... Again select SQL datasource
Then select your odbc data source and one of the table associated with it.
So if your datasource is "TestDB" and the table is "dTest"

"data control" in Visual Basic 6.0, even the "opendatabase" function.
The warning message is "Unrecognized Database Format".

用ACCESS 2000 数据库,每一个注册用户拥有自己独立的Access数据库, usr1.mdb,
usr2.mdb... 如果假定这个网站可能有1万个用户,那么最后会有1万个MDB file. 每个MDB
file size可能从1M 到1G不等.
问题1: 如果100个用户同时上站,SERVER打开100 MDB file 会不会死球?
问题1: 数据库维护更新(比如COMPACT)很费时，如果今后要修改结构也很困难(尽管可以
在server上通过程序来实现）
优点1:便于控制每一个人的数据库的SIZE
优点2:各用户的数据文件独立

我用access, 100个用户同时访问的时候，如果access文件不超过20M一般问题不大.再大
就有点为难．SQL SERVER能不能达到100个用户，2G? 如果一个table里记录超过10万条
，query与update的速度是不是会很慢呀？
前面一位大虾建议文件使用文件管理，我觉得这样是好些，安全性差一点，但性能肯定大
