艾伦·施瓦茨曾在斯坦福大学读书，但很快就辍学并创建了Infogami软件公司。
2000年，艾伦·施瓦茨用wiki技术开发了“theinfo”百科全书计划，而其公司的后台
也是用wiki架设。
此外，艾伦·施瓦茨还是社交新闻网站Reddit的三位创始人之一，2006年初，
Infogami与Reddit合并，并在2006年底被出售给出版公司Condé Nast。Aaron Swartz
在20周岁生日前出售了他所持有的股份。
2010年，Aaron Swartz创建了反对审查互联网的DemandProgress.org。2011年7月
19日，他因数字偷窃而被捕，被控从在线学术期刊系统JSTOR下载了480万篇学术论文。
Aaron Swartz利用外置硬盘通过物理接触的方式从MIT内网运行脚本下载JSTOR论文。消

就是将本来应当免费或者最低成本提供给公众的知识变成少数出版集团谋取暴利的工具
。1970-1997这27年间，出版集团将学术期刊售价提高了30倍之多，其利润率高达30-40
%。本来应该是低成本甚至是免费提供给社会的研究成果，却因为资本集团的唯利是图
而被束之高阁，就连大学这个知识生产团体也不得不每年交高额费用才能获得知识，这
到底是鼓励知识的交流，还是在把学术成果变为金钱奴婢？ 答案不言而喻——资本主
义就是金钱专制，金钱专政。所谓民主自由，只是前台游戏，后台总是那么少数垄断财
团（从花街到媒体，从军工复合体到出版业），美国的所谓自由就是虚假自由。中国如
今的许多社会问题，也都是缘于过去30多年来不加批判的吸收美国这种制度的糟粕。
Aaron Swartz反抗的也就是美国资本主义制度的糟粕。他未必认同社会主义，认同共产
主义，但是互联网时代的核心精神就是共产主义的平等精神，也就是人人为我，我为人

你可以描述一个理想的社会主义，或共产主义，但我们也目睹若干非常不理想
的社会主义。
其实资本主义的支持者也可以描述一个理想的资本主义，只是他们描述的社会
和现实社会之间有所差距而已，这些差距和你描述的社会主义于现实的社会主义
的差别是一样的。
与其整天描述理想的社会主义或共产主义，而指责现实中的资本主义，不如
更深刻地思考两者之间的本质联系和区别。
资本主义和社会主义不是制度，而是主义，也就是某种价值倾向。我们需要的是一个
完整而公义的价值倾向和实现（暂为Q），这些倾向大部分（暂成为A吧）都是可以在资
本主义社会实现的，只是还没有实现而已。还有其他一部分（B）是资本主义社会固有
的，永远不可能实现。而在这部分中又有一部分（C）是人类社会固有的，除非把人
杀光，否则也无法实现。
马克思主义者认为，Q=B，而C=空集（即不存在），事实证明不是这样的，而是
Q约等于A，B几乎为空集，C很大。
个人觉得Aaron的死不是资本主义特有的问题。而是美国的现有问题。
