"Can points be assessed against my Maryland driver record if I am convicted
of a vehicle-related violation in another state?
Yes. If you are convicted of a vehicle-related offense in a jurisdiction
outside of Maryland, the MVA may assess points. The Driver License Compact,
to which Maryland is a signatory, guides the MVA's actions. The types of
