I arrived the bunny flat trail head around 11p.m. saturday night and car
camped there.
The next morning, I started at 6a.m. and climbed to about 11000 ft at around
1p.m. it took me half an hour to change to downhill equipment and another
half an hour to ski to the trail head. A guy glissading helped me to take a
pictures on the half way down.

发帖数: 2254 | 7 1. Switch from downhill to AT, basically, it takes no time. But for telemark
, you need to learn new techniques, which is fun
2. telemark is lighter than AT, which means you can climb faster
3. telemark package is less expensive than AT, you save money
4. telemark is cool
I am sure I will go for telemark in the future. Since you are going to start
backcountry skiing, I will suggest you to go for tele directly.
Of course, AT is fun too, and takes no time to learn if you know alpine
downhill skiin |

elegant or not, depends on the way you ski, not the gear you use, IMHO |

发帖数: 385 | 16 Equipment prices are comparatively the same depending on what you buy. If
you buy light weight Tele boots they are less expensive. Some tele boots are
just as heavy as light weight touring boots ie: Scarpa. Either Tele or AT
can be cheap if you look for deals in the summer.
