Gay and lesbian couples can once again marry in the state of California.
U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker on Thursday denied Proposition 8
proponents' attempts to halt marriages for same-sex couples pending an
appeal in the case. A temporary stay has been extended until August 18.

Reggie Bush apologized to new USC athletic director Pat Haden for his NCAA
violations that led to sanctions against the Trojans, going so far as to say
if he could give back the Heisman Trophy, he would.
Haden told USA Today the two had a 15-minute phone conversation last week in
