When you over-spent in the past like US did for at least 3 decades,
you will have to spend less. That's the only outcome no matter how
painful it feels in the short-term.
You have to cut everything including social programs to get by.
Trying to avoid the pain by borrowing more to spend now will only
turn it into a bigger disaster. Once the currency collapses b/c
of all the debt it will make 2008 look like nothing. |

When economy struggles you should cut losers off and keep the money

people who got laid off will eventually be laid off. At least the company
becomes a better performer as otherwise they would not be able to sell at
such a higher price. There is no way you can benefit both the employees in
the company and improve the performance of the company. Tough decisions have
to be made otherwise every company will be like the big three.

working capital for the company.
The company can go bust, they still got $800M and bank loses $1b - some

that? Even of the firm goes bust,like all businesses, there could be bad
deals, just as banks always make bad loans, not only to private equity but
also to other industrial firms. If the bank is willing to make 1b, that is
the bank's choice, has nothing to do with private equity.

productive people will be taxed either openly or via inflation
to pay for.
Govt is not a business. They don't have own income. When they
over-spend they take it from taxpayers first and then waste it. |
